Located just outside Minneapolis, Scandvik transforms a former hotel into a next-generation wellness destination—bringing the Nordic spa concept to a major U.S. metropolitan market for the first time.
Overlooking a natural lake and surrounded by mature landscape, the property will be reimagined into a 130-key globally branded hotel with a fully integrated indoor and outdoor Nordic spa. The design leverages the site’s natural 9 acres to create a dramatic spa environment with lake views, thermal pools, sauna experiences, and immersive outdoor relaxation spaces.
This project represents a unique convergence of adaptive reuse and high-impact repositioning, turning an underutilized asset into a destination resort. With no direct Nordic spa competition in the Minneapolis market, the property is positioned to capture both hotel demand and a significant local wellness audience.
